Performing arts
If you want to keep up your acting, singing or dancing or get involved behind the scenes alongside your studies, then there are lots of performance societies you can join at º¬Ðß²ÝÊÓƵ Students’ Union.
Throughout the year our events programme may include one-off workshops with dance or theatre companies, talks by actors and directors and special film screenings and discussion events.
In partnership with the student-run cinema Flix, we regularly host National Theatre (NT) Live screenings, bringing the very best of British theatre to the cinema screen of Cope Auditorium – and at a fraction of the price of a theatre ticket.
If you are a talented performer with a passion for the arts, then you might want to apply for an arts scholarship, award annually. You can apply for an arts scholarship in any art form including dance, drama and behind the scenes technical skills. Each scholar receives a £200 cash prize and the chance to apply for additional funding to develop your talent further. This support can include tuition, mentoring, coaching and attending live events and workshops.
